I am from Halifax, but currently am stationed in Wolfville. In the past, I have tutored students in basic mathematics, chemistry and biology through my High School tutoring program. I currently have a GPA of 3.73 in my studies as a first year Biology Major at Acadia University. At University the courses I am taking include: Chemistry, Biology, French, Sociology and English. I want to be a tutor because as a junior high student, I lacked the confidence I needed in school to achieve good marks and through the help of a tutor I was able to completely turn my perception of school around and now have the confidence I need to achieve what I want in my academics. I realize the importance and impact a tutor can have on a student and how it can greatly impact their lives being taught in a manner they are able to understand, not simply through the teaching methods that are taught in the class room.

Hobbies
In addition to school, I absolutely love music. I have studied piano at the Maritime Royal Conservatory for 14 years while also playing the flute for 7 years. I also am very active and participated on competitive volleyball teams all through my junior high and high school years and competed for Dartmouth on tier 1 volleyball teams until I was 18. Finally, I am an active volunteer in my community and volunteer at Dartmouth Volleyball Club through coaching younger years on the U14 competitive teams and the developmental league.
