Experience
Vincent is a certified teacher with over twenty years of experience in the public education system. He has taught grades 7-12 in AB and NB as well as NS, and is currently employed as a substitute for the Halifax Regional School Board. As a former HRSB Literacy Coordinator (2007/08) and Literacy Support Plan Teacher (2006/07), Vincent is able to facilitate the development of effective reading and writing skills for students of all levels and all ages, including those with diagnosed learning disabilities. In addition to teaching, Vincent also works as a freelance editor and writer. He has edited thesis papers at the post-graduate level, and his own published works include "Fire Oxen" (2001), a collection of short stories on the subject of living and teaching ESL abroad, and "Illusions of Freedom" (1996), an academic exploration of themes contained in the novels of American author Hubert Selby.

Vincent has a passion for Irish music and plays sessions around town on a number of traditional instruments including tenor banjo, tin whistle, and occasionally uilleann pipes. He is also an accomplished pen-and-ink illustrator, and is currently developing the outline for a graphic novel proposal.
