Experience
I've been working as a regular tutor for the past seven years, with even more years of experience working with my peers in university. I enjoy tutoring, I love the subjects I've studied and I do my best to use that enthusiasm to your advantage. Currently I tutor a mix of high school and university students, mostly in calculus and statistics, but also chemistry and physics. I have a fair few topics listed, but it's hardly a complete list. If you have questions about your particular subject feel free to contact me, ideally with some example questions. I'll do my best to get back to you quickly about whether I'll be able to help or not.

Hobbies
I am most in my element when asked to teach for understanding, I think the best way to learn a topic is to get a sense of the why of that topic, rather than just memorize particular facts, and to recognize connections between different topics. I'm patient, and I realize that not everyone understands things in the same way, so I will do my best to explain the concepts in different ways so that they make sense to you. If what you're looking for is review for a test, or some help working through homework concepts, bring it along. I'll explain to the best of my ability what the questions are asking, how I identify key parts, and will try and give you some forewarning about tricky types of problems that might appear on a test. Most homework assignments or practice tests tend to take a bit more than an hour to go over, so please keep that in mind when budgeting for time, rushing things doesn't do you any favors, so the more focused you can be on what is giving you problems the better we can make use of our time. Cheers, Dan
