Education
I completed a Bachelor of Science with a Major in Mathematics from Saint Mary's University. I also completed a Bachelor of Education in Secondary Education from the University of New Brunswick.
Experience
I have tutored at the university and high school level for the past 6 years. I am also active with the Halifax Regional School Board as a High School Math Teacher. I have experience tutoring in person, as well as online. Preference is in person if you are local, however available to tutor online if required. I have also explored a career as in actuarial science, and successfully the actuarial science probability test on my first attempt. Over the past year my focus has primarily shifted to tutoring, as I love the one on one aspect of working with students to develop a better understanding of Mathematics and show them how what they are learning will fit into what they want to do. My goal is to develop a better understanding of Mathematics with in my students to allow them to be successful with the course they are taking. We will work threw sample questions and look at how they relate to other problems.
